Rhode Island Mission of Mercy

Original Color logo  TransparentThe Rhode Island Oral Health Foundation (RIOHF) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide funding and resources to improve oral health in the state of Rhode Island. The RIOHF holds a signature annual event, the Rhode Island Mission of Mercy (RIMOM).

What is RIMOM?

The RIMOM is a two-day FREE dental clinic is held once a year and provides free dental care to the uninsured, underinsured or anyone who cannot access dental care.

At the clinic, patients will initially undergo a health and dental evaluation, and will then be provided with treatment on a first-come, first-served basis, based on their oral health needs.

Services include fillings, x-rays, tooth extractions, root canal treatment on front teeth only, oral health instructions, small denture repairs and a limited number of partial dentures to replace missing front teeth. These are provided by licensed dental professional volunteers.

The clinic is staffed with over 250 dental & medical volunteers and over 200 community volunteers who graciously give their time, talent and clinical expertise to provide FREE dental services to deserving patients.

On October 5 & 6, 2024, the Rhode Island Oral Health Foundation (RIOHF) will conduct its 10th Rhode Island Mission of Mercy (RIMOM) Free Dental Clinic at the Providence Community Health Centers (PCHC) in Providence RI. This will mark our 2nd year at this centrally located venue. This state-of-the-art dental clinic has 22 operatories for our dental professionals to continue to provide free high-quality dental services to up to 550 deserving patients with the utmost in care and dignity.
